I have a Saturn LW300 2001.  I bought it new.  I have had it in for all scheduled maintience.  Last year about this time, I was told I needed a new thermostat.  It is located mid engine.  The dealer had to replace it.  This cost me around $400.......

This past week it has been making front end noise.  It has less than 40,000 mile on it.  When I took it in the dealer said  I need new swaybar links.  Plus it needs new brakes and rotors.  The rotors cannot be turned due to them wearing unevenly.  They would be too thin to use if they turned them.  Does that sound right?  NO!!!  This will cost me around $600 to be completed.

I wonder, are all their cars made so cheaply?  I WILL NOT be buying any more Saturn auto's.  I almost bought a saturn SKY this past summer.  I'm glad I didn't.  I will NOT reccomend Saturn to any one.  Saturn bites!!!!!

Saturn is only good if you have a car still under warranty. They do have great customer service but you are screwed once you are out of warranty.

I contacted saturn in Tenessee.  They will cut ther repair bill in half.  Better than nothing I guess.  I'll get it fixed, drive it for a couple of months and then get rid of the piece of crap!!!  I think it's time to lease.  That way none of it will be my headache!!  And it  WON'T be a saturn!   Junk cars!

Yea, I lease just for the peace of mind. Of course it has it drawbacks as well with mileage and damage stress. You should look at German cars if you can affort it (leasing helps reduce monthly payments), the VWs and Audis have pretty good lease programs.
