The Bush administration lowered the thermostat today on our new cold war with Iran by labeling one of their state sponsored militias a "terrorist" organization. It is this constant strategy of "poking the bear" that reinforces the perspective of US's imperial posture. What purpose does it serve to play this out on the world's stage? These things should be quietly resolved on the battle field with Special Forces. Respect is not commanded, it is earned.

Just want to know...is it your opinion that Iran's state sponsored militias is NOT a terrorist organization? The Bush Admin has been working behind the scenes with the UN, Iran and other middle eastern countries for quite a while now. Iran has been the one spewing it's warped views to the World, thumbing it's nose at the US and the World. They have not been shy to let the World know it wants to wipe Israel and the US off the map. There comes a time when America has to let the World know that we will not put up with Iran's goals and antics. The Bush Admin has been going through UN procedures to get resolution after resolution to try and stop Iran's goal of attaining Nuclear weapons. Sounds exactly like what happened concerning Iraq and Saddam Hussein!! Let's not forget that it turns out that the UN was in bed with Hussein and quite a few (top level) UN individuals profited from it. The fact is...we can't rely on the UN for anything. If anyone is going to stop Iran, it has to be the US. Nobody but Bush has the balls! The US can NOT let Iran continue on their path. We know they have been providing weapons and training to the insurgents in Iraq. Let's not allow history to repeat itself. Remember Hitler???? Even though Hitler made his intentions clear, the World buried their head in the sand. Look how that turned out?And Hitler didn't have nuclear weapons. Fellow Americans....let's not act like France did with Hitler!!!!!!!!!! Oh by the way...don't you think we already have special forces engaged??? Of course the Bush Admin is not going to publicize this, but maybe the NY Times will.

War is DEFINETLY the last resort. But how do you deal with Iran when they have time and time again thumbed their noses at the US and the world? They are interfering and instigating problems in Iraq, so they are pushing us into a corner. Would you agree that they can't be allowed to continue operations to produce nuclear weapons?

I'm glad someone in the port authoruty had the commonsense and courage to shut that down. He knew we wouldn't let him and now he will use it as propoganda that the US is not open to and level of decency. That is was a sour grapes move on our part and he is the bigger man to want to show his respects. Bastard
