So ya think we have a "free press" eh? Check out who owns who, and who owns what you think.......
GENERAL ELECTRIC --(donated 1.1 million to GW Bush for his 2000 election campaign)
GE Aviation makes the turbine engines for the following:
The Longbow, Apace, Blackhawk, Abrahms Tank!!, A-10 Warthog, C-5A, B-2 Stealth Bomber (same engine powered the U2), B-1B, Air Force One, 767 AWACS, F-14, F-15, F-16, F136 JSF, F/A-18E Super Hornet (on all carriers), UCAV (unmanned), F4, B-58,
Hmmm.... Let's just embed OUR reporters into OUR tanks in OUR war ... see below
GE Television Holdings:
* NBC: includes 13 stations, 28% of US households.
* NBC Network News: The Today Show, Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, Meet the Press, Dateline NBC, NBC News at Sunrise.
* CNBC business television; MSNBC 24-hour cable and Internet news service (co-owned by NBC and Microsoft); Court TV (co-owned with Time Warner), Bravo (50%), A&E (25%), History Channel (25%).
The "MS" in MSNBC
means microsoft
The same Microsoft that donated 2.4 million to get GW bush elected.
Other Holdings:
* GE Consumer Electronics.
* GE Power Systems: produces turbines for nuclear reactors and power plants.
* GE Plastics: produces military hardware and nuclear power equipment.
* GE Transportation Systems: runs diesel and electric trains.

Gimme a break these, Multi-Nationals are smarter than that ,they split their contributions between both parties as the chart below from opensecrets.org shows, when the Dems are in power they get the most, and vice versa, looks like in the late 90's when clinton had his personal issues....the funds started skewing to the Reps. Look at the Dems who are getting rich off the war like Diane Feinstein's spouse!

What the hell are you talking about?¿ The point of this post IS NOT capaign contributions.
Why don't you take a look at the BOD for Lockheed Martin and then do the same for Disney... Guess what? Same people.
Who does Disney own? Well... ABC for starters. Read up a little.

Oh excuse me, so you are making the moronic argument that we have a right wing media. That's so stupid I do not even care to respond to it. |

Fox is a tough one. Probably the worst as far as propaganda goes. No clear ties. I would like to know more about them. I can't spend ALL of my time reading about this crap...

| nope avatar is a French bulldog puppy. Fox is owned by Rupert Merdoch, lefties say it's right, and righties say Rupert is chummy with the Clinton's, I think the whole lot of them stink to high heaven, I have resigned to being a cynic! |

I agree. It has really sunk in lately that this country is a bunch of mindless idiots being led around by the "free" press. Is there any objective news source left? It used to be a respectable profession, always from the high ground. Now it is about agendas or ratings. The sad thing is, most people don't realize the shift has taken place. |

I think you people are reaching....if you look at history, large corporations tend to give more money to the party with the majority in Congress. Republicans have received more because they have had the majority since 1994. Look at the early 90's when the Democrats had the majority...they received more money! Sounds like a bunch of conspiracy theorists! |
