Another Olberman Special Comment on Bush

Keith Olbermann unleashes what may well be his angriest, most blistering Special Comment yet, aimed squarely at his favorite target: President Bush. Olbermann was responding to Bush's claim that he had given up golf in honor of the Iraq war — and his assertion that a Democratic president withdrawing from Iraq would "eventually lead to another attack on the United States" — a statement Olbermann called "ludicrous, infuriating, holier-than-thou and most importantly bone-headedly wrong." Olbermann continued in that vein for a full 12 minutes (or 2,000 words), frequently raising his voice and spitting out his words in disgust.

While speaking about whether President Bush injected himself in the presidential campaign on Wednesday, Hardball’s Chris Matthews smacks down talk show host Kevin James over what constituted appeasement with Nazi Germany prior to World War II.

Bush Veto's Children’s Health Insurance Program, leaving 4,000,000 uninsured children behind

On September 25th, the House passed the final House-Senate agreement to reauthorize the successful Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), H.R. 976, for an additional five years. On October 3rd, President Bush vetoed this legislation.

CHIP provides health coverage to American children whose parents do not qualify for Medicaid, but can not afford private insurance. This bill would bring health coverage to approximately ten million children in need – preserving coverage for all 6.6 million children currently covered by CHIP, and reaching millions more low-income, uninsured American children in the next five years.

Columbia University President Lee Bollinger crushes Iranian President Ahmadinejad during introduction

Columbia University President, Lee C. Bollinger, in a defining moment, illustrates the power of the spoken word. Many have been conflicted, or even opposed to Columbia's decision to give President Ahmadinejad a forum to speak during his visit to New York. Once again, freedom of speech proves to be the most powerful freedom we have in this country. It inherently exposes either the speaker’s strength or weakness. Ahmadinejad is quickly called out on the ridiculousness of his rhetoric. Listen to President Bollinger’s introduction.

Read this disturbing WorldNetDaily.com article about President Bush's attitude towards the purcashe of 19.9 percent of the NASDAQ by a Dubai Holding company. The holding company is owned and operated by the government of the Emirate of Dubai and controlled by Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the head of the Dubai ruling family. President Bush is reviewing it to see if it has any national security implications. DUH!!!!

Rudy Giuliani is about to get bitch slapped by MoveOn.Org

Read the New York Times Analysis on the new MoveOn.org Ad. The ad is the third in MoveOn’s series of “betrayal” ads that began last week with a print ad that called Gen. David H. Petraeus, commander of American forces in Iraq, “General Betray Us.” The second is a 30-second spot starting today on CNN criticizing President Bush for not reducing the number of troops to pre-surge levels. The “Betray Us” ad elicited a ferocious response from Republicans, including Rudolph W. Giuliani.

Why isn't Chuck Hagel running for President in 2008?

<img height="119" alt="Chuck Hagel" width="150" border="0" src="/Portals/0/Images/maher_hagel.jpg" /

Senator Chuck Hagel (R) of Nebraska was sounding very presidential on Bill Maher's Real Time HBO show over the weekend (Sept 16). Sen. Hagel may be out of step with the republican base but he speaks to people in a straight, no BS way that is similar to Barrack Obama. It is a shame for America that a man of such character and integrity has chosen to step out of his current role. He could be a real bridge builder if he ran for president.

Is Fox News beating the drums of war again?

Moveon.org has produced a video accusing FOX of beating the drums of war with Iran. In 2003, FOX said "Al Qaeda is in Baghdad" and evidence of WMDs was "irrefutable." In 2007, they suggest Iran "is forging ties with Al Qaeda" and the evidence against Iran is "unequivocal."

Is Fox Fair and Balance? Watch the video and as they say; you decide. Let us know how it made you feel.
